First of all did you see the change? Take at look at our logo on the fron page and you should notice somethign different...that's right we've changed our name.

For years the Stanislaus County designation has served us well, but with some new staff and new ministry taking place (specifically in Mercerd) it was time for a new name that would more accurately reflect our mission area. So please pray for Youth for Christ - Central Valley.

We constantly talk about "seeing the potential" in every young person.

A gang banger who becomes a leader, a drug addict who becomes a poet, a rebel who becomes a teacher. But of course, long before YFC was on the scene, the real visionary was Jesus Christ.

He had His father's eyes to look past the obvious warts and scars, the ugly behavior, the terrible attitude, the sinful brokenness and see a potential child of God.

During this past year I'm excited to say that the YFC staff team, along with hundreds of volunteers and your generous help have been able to participate with the Lord in seeing those changes come to reality in the lives of thousands of young people.

But our work, our vision, our hope is not fully accomplished yet. There is certainly more to be done and so while we stop to PRAISE the all-mighty for what He's done, we continue our drive to see every young person, in every people group, in every nation receive an opportunity to respond to the life changing message of Jesus Christ.

In this coming year we return with 13 strong staff members, a great Board of Directors, and well over 150 regular volunteers. (And check back later because if we receive a new grant we just applied for it may significantly add to our staff team)

We are strategically and aggressively working in 7 different arenas of ministry at over 20 different ministry sites and each one of them is experiencing growth.

Our plans cry out for us to share the Gospel with at least 8000 different young people and see at least (prayerfully) 1000 of them come to know Christ as their Savior and Lord, with at least 400 of them lead back to a local church and begin regular attendance.

Fiscally, we are planning and praying for YFC's biggest year in our 59 year history with a budget exceeding $550,000.
