Dear Friend,
Well summer is just about over. Colors are starting to appear, temperatures
are cooling off, football teams are starting to practice and that means...school
is just about to begin!
For 15 years now a great tradition has been going on in sync with the
start of the school year and the fall season...SYATP (See You at the Pole).
This international event calls students together around their local school
flag poles on the 3rd Wednesday of September at 7AM.
Last year it is estimated that over 2,000,000 students gathered from around
the world and prayed. Here in Stanislaus County we would estimate nearly
2000 gathered to pray.
What a great way to kick off another year, dedicated Christian students
gathering to pray around their school flag pole...lifting up staff, adminstration,
fellow students, and themselves before their mighty Lord & Savior.
Youth for Christ of Stanislaus County is excited to be a local part of
this "fall tradition", and this year as with many years in the
past Youth for Christ will be assisting local youth pastors in encouraging
their youth to gather around the pole and lift up their campus. Additionally
on Tuesday night Sept. 14, Youth for Christ will be hosting a SYATP Pre-rally
in the cafeteria of Thomas Downey High School.
For more information on how your youth pastor, or students can participate
give our office at call at (209) 522-9568 x14.
Thanks so much,
Rick J.Fritzemeier
